- 1999: LUKMEF was founded by Tanyi Christian E. in Cameroon.
- Since then, LUKMEF has operated continuously in Cameroon with involvement in various peace, human rights, social justice, education, humanitarian relief, and development programmes.
- Under Mr. Tanyi Christian’s leadership, LUKMEF has grown in capacity: not only implementing projects directly in Cameroon (particularly in the Northwest and Southwest Regions), but also engaging in training, community capacity building, and broader advocacy.
- It has also expanded its network and partnerships: working with international agencies (e.g. UNICEF) for capacity-building (religious leaders, community actors) in humanitarian intervention and coordination.
- As crises have unfolded in Cameroon (e.g. conflict, displacement, humanitarian emergencies), LUKMEF has responded by scaling emergency relief interventions (child protection, gender-based violence, WASH, etc.).
